Netflix “Death Note” script writer has been confirmed.The timing of the release is undecided
The scriptwriter of Netflix’s original series “Death Note,” based on popular Japanese cartoons, has been decided.
The U.S. Deadline exclusively reported on the 20th (local time) that Halia Abdel-Meguid, known as the scriptwriter of “Miss Anyi,” will take charge of the screenplay of “Death Note” and participate in the overall production.
Netflix’s original series “Death Note,” which was decided to be produced in July, is known to be produced by Upside Down, founded by Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, the producers of “Stranger Things.”
“Death Note,” which was written by Obatsugumi and produced by Takeshi Obata, is a popular cartoon series from 2004 to 2006, and has been reborn as a number of media mixes, including live-action movies, dramas and musicals.
Netflix also remade it as a live-action film in 2017, but this original series is known to be a separate work from the film.
The timing of the release or casting has yet to be made public.
