A five-year contract to completely sign Odegor who has used Arsenal once
Martin Odegor (22), who is interested in Real Madrid, is on the verge of a complete transfer to Arsenal.
British media Guardian reporter Fabricio Romano said on the 18th (Korea time) that Arsenal will fully recruit Martin Odegor. The contract period is estimated to be (3,400 (approximately KRW 55 billion) in five years until 2026.
According to the media, an agreement between Arsenal and Real was recently reached and Odegor had already been left off the list of matches against Real Sociedad. Even when the team was announced, his back number was not determined. He was one of the key targets of the two leaders in manager Mikel Arteta’s department, who moved to Arsenal on loan last season. He has already reached a personal agreement with Arsenal.
Odegor joined Real Madrid in 2015 at the age of 16. Since then, he has gained experience on loan in the Dutch league, and has been active at Real Sociedad in the 2019/20 season.
Last season, Odegor started the season with Real Madrid in anticipation of Zinedine Zidane, but was no longer considered by Zidane after only starting in the opening two games. So he opted for a six-month short-term loan to Arsenal in the winter transfer window and scored one goal and two assists in 14 Premier League games. Arsenal, who had been sluggish by supporting strikers in the attacking midfielder position, boosted their offensive power.
Arsenal have renewed their contracts with Emil Smith Low, 21, who can play in the same position, and Joe Willock has moved to Newcastle United. Arsenal considered Odegor for Willock and James Madison, 25, of Leicester City, but chose Odegor.
Arsenal also added central defender Ben White (23), side defender Nunu Tavares (21), and midfielder Sambi Rokonga (21) to the transfer window this summer, but lost 0-2 in poor defense against promoted team Brandford in the opening game of the league.
