All members of TWICE renew their contracts
Group TWICE has renewed its contract with JYP Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as JYP). Ahead of the time of the exclusive contract this fall, all members decided to renew their contracts and continue their relationship.
TWICE, which debuted in October 2015, won the grand prize at various K-pop awards and sold more than 10 million copies of Korean-Japanese albums, and entered the Tokyo Dome for the shortest time since its debut as an overseas artist. In addition, it has grown into a representative girl group in K-POP history by setting a number of new domestic and foreign records, ranking third in its third regular album “Billboard 200” and having more than 100 million views of 20 girl groups in the world.
TWICE attracted 150,000 viewers by selling nine performances in five U.S. cities, including two encore concerts, including the first North American stadium performance by a K-pop girl group, on its fourth world tour “TWICE 4TH WORLD TOUR “III.” In Japan, for the first time in the history of foreign artists, the Tokyo Dome, the sacred place for Japanese performances, has proved its tremendous popularity through three consecutive performances.
Among them, member Nayeon released her first mini-album “IM NAYEON” (I am Nayeon) and title song “POP!” (Pop!) on the 24th of last month and became the first solo singer among TWICE members. Nayeon ranked 7th on “Billboard 200” and became the first K-pop solo artist to reach the top 10 on the chart
